Do I need to register?

Hazardous waste registration
If the premises that you are to remove waste from produces or holds hazardous waste you must also check if it is registered as a hazardous waste producer. Only sites that produce or hold less than 500kg are excused from this requirement. You may register a premises on behalf of someone else but you must have their permission to do this.
If you are operating as a ‘mobile service provider’ you may not need to register each site that you are producing waste at.

Am I a carrier, a broker or a dealer?
Depending on your activity you may need to register as either a carrier/dealer or broker/dealer or carrier/broker dealer. Check the definitions to work out which category applies to your activities:
Am I upper or lower tier?
A slightly different registration process applies depending on whether you are classified as upper tier (UT) or lower tier (LT).
