Response to Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Department for Energy and Climate Change consultation
Summary
The Environment Agency welcomes the proposed legislation which will introduce a more efficient, streamlined and consistent approach to the licensing of marine developments. The Regulations provide an opportunity, through exemptions, to minimise the overlap between marine and terrestrial licensing regimes where they come together at the coast. Where this is not legally possible, we will work with the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) to agree clear, efficient and streamlined practical working arrangements.
