Flood Map and how to use it

Use this map to quickly find the predicted risk of flooding in your area from rivers and the sea. You could be at risk from other sources of flooding. 

Note that our Flood Map is intended only as a guide. It is not designed to be accurate at the individual property level.

How to access and use Flood Map

  1. Find your location on the map.  You can go straight to your area by searching for your post code, using the search box on the right of this page.
  2. Once you can see your location on the map, click on the point you are interested in.  You will then see a guide to the chance of flooding in your area - low, moderate or significant. You can also find links to further useful information and advice.

    The likelihood of flooding may have an effect on home insurance in your area. An insurance company may ask you for more information about flood likelihood by asking you for an Insurance Related Request Letter.
